Raku Workshop

May 4th 3-5pm Bring your bisque raku pots for glazing and dry leather hard pots for burnishing.

You will learn the history and techniques behind Raku including glazing, resist, terra-sigulata, burnishing and horse hair.

This workshop is created to learn how to apply raku glazes to the bisque pots, and terra sigulata applied to hard leather hard pieces (a fine slip to create a high gloss shine)  to prepare for the horse hair technique. We will use tape lines and resist to create dynamic un-glazed black lines. It is for current students, members and artists working from home.
