ROMAN MOSAIC WORKSHOP
Have you ever wandered into a cathedral and contemplated how those beautiful mosaics were made? Do you love pattern and working with puzzles? This is a class for you! Roman mosaics is a class for beginners to advanced students.
In this class you will learn the tricks, tips and tools for making a traditional rope border design inspired by artisans of ancient Rome. Taking creative liberties to historical mosaic, we will create contemporary designs using cutting techniques, color and placement to make this mosaic. Not a single pattern will look the same!

Special Notes

• Mosaic provided will be stone not ceramic.
• Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
• Students will need to have a pair of dish-washing gloves or disposable gloves for grouting
• A neutral grey grout will be provided. If desired students can purchase a grout from a hardware store in a color of their choice. Discuss your options with instructor before shopping.
